Model Information

IS200EDEXG1AFA is a GE EX2100 “Exciter De-Excitation Board” that mounts inside the exciter cabinet and controls the safe, rapid discharge of generator field energy during any trip or normal shutdown. It provides regulated gate-drive outputs to fire external SCRs (or diodes), senses conduction feedback, and retains logic voltage even if the station battery dips, so the field current is always steered into a discharge resistor and collapses within milliseconds—preventing dangerous over-voltages. The 100 × 80 × 20 mm board needs only 24 Vdc, works –30 °C to +65 °C, and is used one-per-bridge in simplex or redundant systems, giving you a compact, plug-in solution for fast, repeatable de-excitation without extra relays or contactors.
