1.Rolling-element bearing vibration monitoring-Screw the sensor onto the bearing housing. Its 3.94 mV/mm/s (100 mV/in/s) output lets the 3500/42 monitor track overall velocity. If the level exceeds the alarm set-point, the unit can be tripped before bearing failure occurs.

2.Cooling-tower or fan health checks-The wide 4.5 Hz – 5 kHz frequency range captures both slow-speed blade-pass and high-speed bearing tones. Maintenance crews use the trend to schedule greasing or bearing replacement, avoiding unplanned shutdowns.

3.Structural vibration surveys on pumps and small turbines-Because the Velomitor is rugged and needs no separate driver, one technician can walk around with a portable meter and quickly map vibration hot-spots. The 305 m (1 000 ft) cable limit allows the sensor to stay on the machine while the cabinet sits in a safe area.
