1.Shaft Vibration Monitoring-This probe continuously measures the vibration of rotating shafts in large turbomachinery (steam turbines, compressors, fans). By detecting changes in vibration levels, it helps operators spot imbalance, misalignment, or bearing wear before damage occurs.

2.Axial Position Protection-The sensor tracks how far the shaft moves in the axial direction. If the rotor drifts too close to the casing or seals, the system can trigger an alarm or trip the machine to prevent costly contact and downtime.

3.Keyphasor / Speed Reference Signal-When a notch or keyway on the shaft passes the probe tip, it generates a once-per-turn pulse. This “Keyphasor” signal is used to calculate exact speed and to synchronize vibration analysis (phase angle), making balancing and diagnostics faster and more accurate.
