1.Radial shaft-vibration on sleeve-bearing turbomachinery-The probe mounts in the bearing cap and outputs 200 mV/mil. If vibration rises because of imbalance or bearing wear, the 3500/42 monitor alarms or trips the set before real damage occurs.

2.Axial (thrust) position protection-Installed looking at a thrust collar, it watches how far the rotor drifts toward the compressor or turbine end. Any movement larger than the normal thrust float is caught early, so the thrust bearing can be inspected during the next outage instead of failing catastrophically.

3.Keyphasor / speed & phase reference-A once-per-turn slot or keyway gives a sharp voltage pulse. This “Keyphasor” pulse supplies exact speed to the DCS and provides the phase angle needed for field balancing and fault diagnosis, cutting trim-balancing time in half.
