1.Radial shaft-vibration monitoring on sleeve-bearing turbomachinery-The probe mounts in the bearing cap and delivers a 200 mV/mil signal that shows how much the shaft is vibrating. If vibration rises above the alarm set-point, the 3500/42 monitor can trip the machine before bearing damage occurs.

2.Axial (thrust) position protection-Installed looking at a collar or thrust-disk, it measures any shift of the rotor toward the compressor or turbine end. Early warning lets operators schedule thrust-bearing inspection during the next outage instead of suffering a catastrophic rub.

3.Keyphasor / speed and phase reference-A once-per-turn notch or keyway creates a sharp voltage pulse. This “Keyphasor” pulse supplies exact speed to the DCS and gives the phase angle needed for field balancing and fault diagnosis, cutting trim time in half.
